Full-Stack Software Engineer

Atlanta, Georgia
Work Type: Full Time

If you’re itching to build meaningful technology, to flex your entrepreneurial muscle, and you have big aspirations to make a dent in the universe, read on. PorterLogic is an early stage venture backed tech startup whose software is used by manufacturers, brands, and retailers who need greater flexibility in their supply chain to run their business.

Who We Are

We’re a small but mighty team of dreamers and doers, hackers and builders who are transforming the supply chain software industry. We have deep industry expertise and have spent years building and implementing software in the supply chain industry.

Funded by premier investors and supported by a leading startup accelerator, PorterLogic (www.porterlogic.com) is building the software of the future for supply chains. It’s no secret traditional supply chain solutions are outdated, bloated, and inflexible. We're transforming how supply chain teams do their work and changing how companies think about their supply chain functions - from viewed as a cost center to celebrated as a competitive advantage. Our flexible application platform is a 10x improvement in agility, performance, and resilience that enables companies to modernize their supply chain ecosystem and enable their operations to support growth.

About The Role

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will work closely with the CEO/CTO to build the company’s product and culture. You’ll ship code, set up processes, and build products. You’ll make a tangible impact on the product and technology, play a critical role in scaling the company, and you’ll be rewarded with meaningful equity.

Our base product has been built, and we have active paying customers and are adding more. Our platform is cloud-native and built on ReactJS, Flask/Python, PostgreSQL, and hosted on GCP. Our mature product state will include Go, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, and Cloud Build.

You Will:

  • Build on the existing infrastructure and the architecture of the PorterLogic platform

  • Own a significant part of the code base

  • Execute on the technology and product roadmap by taking a problem statement, designing a technical approach, coding, testing, and deploying the solution

  • Speak directly with customers and provide customer support when needed

  • Provide off-hour, weekend, and holiday support when required (on a rotational basis)

  • Contribute to company growth operations, including interviewing potential hires and setting up company processes

  • Play a key role in how we scale the product, technology, and team

You Have:

  • At least 3-4 years of professional development experience. This is a mid-level to senior role and you should have the ability to take a project from idea to deployment, and be comfortable coding as well as architecting solutions

  • Strong professional experience in both frontend development (ReactJS) and backend development (Flask/Python, Go, API development, CI/CD, and automation frameworks)

  • A product mindset with a customer obsession, who cares about the business and is excited to solve customer problems

  • Love of learning and autonomy. We're an early stage company, so there will be chaos despite our best efforts. Ideally you enjoy being a generalist and picking things up along the way

  • Collaborative attitude, thoughtfulness, and enthusiasm for building relationships with teammates and customers

  • Clear and open communication with technical and non-technical teammates - we believe software is a team sport

  • Thoughtfulness and enthusiasm in company, team, and culture building. Culture is a product of everyone on the team, and as an early hire you have an outsized impact on shaping a successful culture & company where everyone can do their best work.

  • Working experience in devops (infrastructure, networks, and containerized deployments for 10x-100x user growth) a plus

  • Proficiency with UI/UX design and full-stack experience a plus

  • Knowledge of supply chain applications (WMS, ERPs, etc.) a plus

We Offer:

  • Flexible working hours. We believe people do their best work on their own schedule.

  • Open vacation/PTO policy. Taking time off to fully decompress is critical to our well-being and our success.

  • Hybrid work environment, remote-first mindset. While we primarily work remotely, we do believe there are advantages to meeting face-to-face. We office out of the Industrious co-working space in Ponce City Market (Atlanta, GA). While office attendance will never be mandatory, we want you to be in geographic proximity and willing to huddle up in person.

  • Meaningful equity. We believe in incentivizing everyone on the success of the company. We all win together, and want all team members to act like owners.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
